visual voicemail att & pixel 2 xl

I recently moved my P2XL from vzw to at&t. I use to check my visual voicemail mail via the phone app. With vzw, the bottom would show tabs for Favorite, Recent, Contacts and Voicemail (vm). With at&t, it only shows Favorite, Recent, and Contacts. I see there is a free at&t app for vm but I prefer the integrated feature with the phone app. Anyone have a fix for this on at&t?

AT&T is just set up that way it seems. We had a post on this a couple of weeks ago ..
