Visual Voicemail on Verizon?

With a poorly coded app. Get Fi.

Fi works for some -- not all. I could get them and they would work in my area but I would pay a ton more than I do now. For people who need LTE and use a good amount of it Fi just becomes super expensive.

Great news! It appears that it is using Google's own Visual Voicemail that is part of their dialer app!

So this is new to me. What is Google's Visual Voice Mail? Is that like Google Voice? Or is this a different app?

yeah i'd like more info as well. Google Voice is my primary #.

it this just something for Verizon or is it for everyone and is it just for the carrier # or will it work for Google Voice?

So when you tap the icon to call somebody there is a voicemail tab. That is where my voicemails are. The first time there was a message asking me to accept Verizon's terms and once I did that, my verizon voicemails popped in there. I assume if you're using Google Voice as your primary number, those voicemails will show up there? I'm just guessing though.

Thanks, Interesting. I am not using Google Voice, so this uses Verizon's voice mail service then? Does it do any translation (voice to text) like google Voice or Youmail?

Yeah this looks like Verizon or possibly "carrier" voicemail. I'll be shocked if it works with Google Voice. I'd love to hear from someone that might try it with Google Voice.

Yeah, you can toggle between carrier (in my case Verizon) or Google Voice.

It's your standard visual voicemail, it's just downloading the voice file from verizon to your device.
This. Basically instead of having a different app for it the phone app handles your phone calls and downloads your voice mails. :).
