Visual voicemail weirdness

So, my visual voicemail will only play a vm when on speaker. If I use the other (hold phone to my ear) even without holding it up to my head, my phone locks and vm stops. This happens after roughly 1-2 seconds. Is this perhaps due to widget locker? Is there some fix I can't seem to find on here? I'm actually using stock everything, after my atk fiasco and I had to reset, I just left it be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having an issue with VVM as well. Not the same issue as you though. For some reason VVM is not accepting my password. The password has not changed and works fine if I dial *86 and enter it that way. I wonder if Verizon is having some sort of issue.

I ran across an update for the voicemail a couple of days ago....not sure if it'll help but press menu for the voicemail screen and press settings then check for update.

I had that problem, and had to *228. It worked. If you've tried that, I don't know then. As fire the update, I will try that. Thanx

My vvm app doesn't give me the option to check for update. Are you using the stock vvm app?

Thanks for the suggestions. VVM finally corrected itself with out me doing anything. Luckly I don't get that many voice messages so it wasn't that big a deal. I am really not sure why I even have VVM.
