It comes pre-installed on TMobile's phones, and I like their visual voicemail, so for me it isn't a problem.

Oh I was talking about the My Accounts app, which on the Nexus 6, can be uninstalled.

Google Voice lets you check your carrier voicemail? Didn't know. But I would need the old out if date Google Voice app, right?

Yeah, through your web browser on the PC you can set up Cartier voice mail interception.

I have the current version of the Google voice app, and voicemail works in both hangouts and the aosp dialer.

you have to sign up for Google voice lite, then do a conditional forwarding.

Heck, I was not getting notifications of REGULAR emails. I asked over at XDA, and I a guy said the fix was to DISABLE VVM in MyVerizon. Apparently, our accounts have been upgraded to free VVM, though I never got notification of the change. I've searched at VZW and the Playstore, and cannot find the app that their FAQ refers to, I can't find the page to disable it in MyVZW.

I've given up.

Giving YouMail a try. Seems to be working well. Having never used VVM in the past I cannot compare it to the native VZW app, and it seemed broke, well, YouMail aint' broke, so I see no need to fix it.

Anyone else with the N6 not getting Google Talk VM in Hangouts? I don't even get the option under settings in Hangouts that Google says to check, banging my head against the wall as to why
