I have the vlingo prototype. Does anyone what changes the new vlingo that will go on the market will have different than the prototype? Plus, $19.99!? I rather go back to stock than shell out that kind of money or just stick with the prototype I already have on my phone.

There are 2 ways to look at this. 1) there are probably a lot of free or cheaper alternatives in the market. 2) you also get what you pay for. Vlingo is probably more polished than other alternatives and probably has better customer support.

$9.99 isn't horrible (I am not wasting my money on it though) but $20 is ridiculous. You would think they would charge like $5 and get a lot of customers instead of charging $20 and only getting a few hundred. They are out of their mind. They do know that many of the android customers are hackers (the good kind haha) and people who love to mod their phones, right?

I think it's a great product and a lot more accurate than the speech to text recognition that is built in on 2.1.

The price... I don't think it's horrendous, but that's my POV.

the speech to text in 2.2 is gonna be better than 2.1, so they say....might just wait and see what the new update brings first
