voice actions?

so with ICS removing the Search button how will you use voice actions? I use voice actions almost daily as it allows me to call businesses whose phone numbers I do not know.

The Google Search bar remains at the top of the screen across all the homescreens in ICS. I suppose you'll just have to press the little mic icon on it instead of long pressing the search button. Matias mentioned in his interview with Josh Topolsky of This Is My Next (here) that he wants to get away from the "long press".

that's not nearly as convenient as being able to hold the search button and say "call ____" I am also afraid that pressing that microphone will only let you search, not do actions.

No, im pretty sure it's the same voice actions. Seems more convienient to just pressghat one button rathe than long pressing. Of course, when you're not on the homescreen, youll have to take the extra step to go back home to use it.
