Voice Announces Name of Caller

Recently my phone started to announce the name of the person who is calling when receiving an incoming call. I haven't changed anything. I checked drive mode but it is off. I've checked all settings that might have this feature but can't fnd anything. This is really annoying. Anyone know how to turn this feature off? Thanks.

I believe there is a setting via Menu > Settings > Accessibility that will allow you to disable this feature. I don't have my phone with me otherwise I'd go through it and verify. Good luck.

Mine too began this out of the blue. I found the spot to change the setting at Menu/Settings/Language and Input/Text to speech output - then make sure driving mode is unchecked. Not sure why this started for no reason but it did it several times. Just updated to ICS so we'll see if it continues.
