I learned on this forum in the spring a trick for easy voice mail dialing. Settings-Call-VoiceMail Number - and I had *86, xxxx and it dialed the voicemail and added my password. Since the upgrade a few weeks ago, it only dials *86, and I have to do the password manually. I deleted it and put it in again, but no change.

Does this feature no longer work?

You can just put it into a speed-dial (i.e. VM Contact=123-456-7890,1111#)

Also, you could try including the # at the end of your present attempt. I think # is supposed to indicate the end of the password.

Yes and no, the above answer should work, but this was part of my gripe a few weeks back. They (VZW) took away all the settings for voicemail, whether you us visual vm or just call in. Apparently we are all stupid and they (VZW) feel they can control your voicemail options better than you can. Including my gripe ?how many rings before your voicemail picks up?. 30 seconds is too long. Sorry don?t want to hijack the thread.
But it angers me to take away our control of something as small as voicemail options. Ok rant over, off my soapbox.

They didn't take away a time-to-ring option. They've never had it.

I added in the # and that seemed to work, at least with bluetooth on, as in "Call Voicemail". Not sure it worked if I hit the voicemail app icon, like it used to. I added in the extra comma.

I too have edited the dialing string for VM but after a reboot, the dialing string reverts to *86 only. Finally had to add a contact with it.
