So I was going through my somehow 15 saved voice mail messages (and erasing them) using the default voicemail app on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and wasn't liking how it wasn't announcing the date/time it was left and identifying the sender name/number. Luckily this time I knew all these saved messages were from like last year or earlier this year otherwise I would not have been able to tell just by listening to them. Especially with the ones answering job applications that's important.

An example of what I mean is how it would introduce a voicemail on my iphone 4:
"Sent yesterday at 2:45pm from_____"

Is there a way I can add these features or use some other voicemail provider or something?

I don't think there is a way to change that on the app. However, you should have the information you are looking for presented to you when you call voicemail - dial 1 and call it. Follow the prompts to listen to the messages and see if that information is provided.
