voice prompted selfie stuck on timer setting in gs7

If I try to take a selfie using voice prompt a circular timer graphic shows up on screen looks/feels like a three seconds. Then it takes picture. How do I get instant shutter?

Hi welcome to the forums.
This is standard behaviour useing the front camera with voice prompt. I've never come across a way to disable the timer.

One work around wound be to buy a cheap Bluetooth remote.
