Hey,

Can anyone recommend a voice recorder app similiar to Apple's iPhone voice memos app? I'd like a good, easy to use voice recorder for my tablet, you never know when you need it

Thanks

Google Keep is a good one. You can also try Hi-Q MP3 Rec. It's paid, but you can try it for free.

Evernote is not a standalone voice recorder, but it does include voice notes as one of its features, and allows you to access saved notes from other devices. It's free.

Easy Voice Recorder is a dependable and popular standalone voice recorder app. It comes in both free and paid versions.

I'll second Easy Voice Recorder especially (the paid version) for a stand alone app. Google Keep is sweet for notes, etc. too.

Are any of these limited in how long the audio will record before stopping?
I don't know about Google Keep or Evernote, but Easy Voice Recorder does not limit the length of the recording. Even the free version is unlimited. However, the pro version has other enhancements, like the ability to use a Bluetooth microphone and organizing recordings into folders.

There are quite a few other dedicated recorder apps, so just search around Google Play for what might suit you. Many are very basic with few options in their free versions, others have many features that you might find useful and worth paying for. Pay attention to input capabilities, like Bluetooth mics, editing capability, recording format options (wav, mp3, acc, pcm, etc), and file organization and sharing options. If none of that matters to you, then just look for a free, basic recorder.

The free Smart Voice Recorder is very basic and simple to use, but gets the job done without time limits. RecForge is a popular competitor to EVR, and offers slightly enhanced editing capability (EVR can only add on to a previous recording) and includes mp3 and ogg recording formats. For even more enhanced editing, there are the expensive TapeMachine and Voice PRO apps.

Suggest Bees Recorder. It is a free scene-based voice sound recorder. For different scenes, you may enjoy the best sound effect due to its scene-based noise-cancelling algorithm. Find it here: goo.gl/AgxFuP :)
