Voice recorder on when extreme battery saver activated?

Verizon m8, maybe a lollipop bug? When I switch on extreme battery saver, I get this pop up.

That happened once to me, running 4.4.4 on AT&T. So, not just Lollipop. No idea what it is, unless it's related to Google Now?

that's what I was thinking, maybe using the "OK GOOGLE" voice activated thing ? but you think that would also be disabled when EPS is on ?

It is related to Google Now. I remember seeing that on mine a while back, but don't remember what stopped it. I think it may have been set to listen for the "ok Google" command and I turned that option off. I don't use Google Now, so leave all that stuff turned off and haven't seen that pop-up in quite some time.
