for SMS and E-mail like Vlingo.com????

Handcent has speech to text natively, no add on required.

It's handcent (I only correct you because if you search "handset" in the market you wont find it which may discourage you)

No it's not hard to setup at all. The best hint i can give you is once you download and setup handcent (pick your theme, change colors, adjust ect ect) , turn off notifications from the native messenging app or you will get 2 notices for every text which can be annoying.

Search around and you'll find threads that contain good info for Hancent. 99% of android users prefer Handcent or Chomp SMS over the native app.

Now i dont want to lead you down the wrong path .... there is no voice recognition technology that is 100%. You need to consider things such as dialect and stuff so realistically i found that Handcent speach to text is about 70% accurate.

I think if you want the program to read the text to YOU then you need the TTS Library. That is not what this thread is about though.

I just searched for it in the Market on my Hero and cant find it.
