Voice-To-Text doesn't work well?

On my Galaxy s4 I have found the Voice-To-Text function function to work very poorly. It doesn't understand half of what I say and gives me many random incorrect words. I assume that the voice is processed by Google, so I can't imagine why it would work any better or worse on different phones... But with my last two android phones it worked great, and I am absolutely confident that it is much less reliable on this phone. Is this something anyone else has noticed? Or does anyone have any tips to make it work better?

Try going into Settings>My Device>Language and Input, from there you can adjust the keyboard settings and voice input settings. That may help.

I changed the input language from Auto to English. Maybe if it isn't listening for words in any particular language, it will work better. Thanks for the tip.
