voice to text - no option to send?

I use the little microphone on my keyboard to send messages while driving my question is how do I send a message without having to tap the screen?

I'm completely oblivious I don't see an option to send it with voice.

Not sure you can do it that way, but you can do it if you enable Car Mode or by using Google Now/S Voice to reply to a message or send a new one.

Using the microphone icon the way you're doing it, you're basically using voice to input text, not for commands.

After using my voice to compose the text message, my Note 4 lady asks me, "would you like to send the text now", and I just say yes.

That's because you're using either S-Voice or are in Car Mode. That prompt doesn't come on if you use the microphone on the Keyboard to do it.

Same thing. Only if 'spawned' from the Google app will it let you send a text. If you 'summon' Google Voice from the keyboard (by selecting your voice recognition to Google Voice), then it will only work to input text.
