voice updates for my email

my android keeps telling me how many emails i have available at odd hours of the day/night. i checked the sound settings and notification but am unable to turn it off. can anyone help me with this.

Im having the same problem. Everytime I get an email it rings then a voice says " x # of new emails"
I can change the notification sound but Can you turn the voice off?

Go to Settings/Voice input and output/text to speech settings and make sure that driving mode is turned off. That should fix it.
