If you have the Verizon VVM APK and ODEX files from this ROM, can you please zip them up and upload them here? If it is deodexed, even better.

Thanks

I don't know if it helps Cory but you can grab them from Rom Manager. JT has then in his section and they are usable throughout any ROM i believe. It just flashes the application. Just incase no one has the apk and odex.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that version of VVM is older than the one in DJ05, and I like the newer one better.

I've got it at home cory, i'll try to upload it later today.

From a copy of the completely stock but deodexed DJ05 i have on my hard drive.

If you need the DL09 version, there is a download of the stock version over at xda.

That said, i personally use Google Voice and there was a pretty nice dialer on XDA that had the voicemail button modified to launch google voice instead of the Verizon app.

Thanks!!!!

This puts the Speaker button down to the bottom where it should be :)

You're welcome, i am a bit of a file pack-rat so when someone on IRC posted a link to the full version i grabbed it. It's come in handy on several occasions when i needed to add something to a "clean" rom.

I can not seem to get either file to install. I am running DJ05 with Kernel 2.6.29 and Superdark. I am not able to use VVM at all. Any Suggestions?

Thanks for your input!

everything loads fine (just replace your apk's in system/app. No need to install). But when I try to play a voicemail I get an error stating

"An error occurred in MediaPlayer" and the voicemails mon't play.

Trouble is, I can't find an apk called MediaPlayer in the stock DJ05 app folder nor can I find it on my device. Thoughts?

Cory, I can't figure out what to do with the files for the voicemail once I have downloaded them to my computer. I also am having the issue with not being able to get into visual voicemail.

Thanks for any advice!

Open up ROM manager, click on download ROM, sonofskywalker, stock apps, Verizon visual voicemail. Once that's installed, replace the files above.

I had this happen once. Does it do that with new voicemails too?

Try the steps I gave to mbm.

I had same issue the "error occured in the media player" thing just save off your voicemails to sd card and play on computer if you still need them.

Send yourself a new voicemail and it should work just fine. Somehow the old voicemail files got corrupted....

Sucks bout the old voice mails, but you should be ok with new ones.

Well, tried it again and no issues whatsoever even with the old voicemails. Weird but glad to have only one speaker button to screw with.
