Voicemail help needed on Pixel 2 XL

I'm using a Pixel 2 XL on AT&T. I downloaded the visual voicemail app and I can't get it to work. I will go by the AT&T store to address this, so that is not what the thread is about.

When accessing voicemail using the phone keypad (pressing 1), I have to input my passcode every time. Is there a way to avoid having to enter the passcode every time? Is there a different way to access voicemail?

Hello! With regards to not having to input your password every time to access voicemail, I am not sure if there is any way to bypass this - or, at least, none that I've heard of. You could always address that with AT&T; or perhaps another user here knows of an alternate route to access voicemail.

I just use google voice to control my voice mail vs the carrier option. I feel it gives me more control and the features are free when carriers charge. For example VM to text options to read without having to listen to it

Ok, just spent 45 minutes at AT&T and got visual voicemail working, so problem solved. The thought of returning to the store is likely enough to keep me from switching back to the iPhone.
