Voicemail icon won't go away

Anyone have an idea on how to remove voicemail notification?
It's stuck in the notification bar and won't go away. No voice message at all.
My service is Bell, Canada

I deleted data at phone setting.

I think what the OP did was going to settings - apps - all tab - scroll down until you find the phone app - tap on it and clear data. This will remove the voice mail icon but it will be back next time you reboot your phone (Power off and on).

My solution
Setting -> Applications -> Applications manager->All(If you can't see this tab , you should click running tab.)
-> scroll down and finf the phone app -> click and data clear

Not sure if this will help anyone but I had the exact same problem on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the problem is now resolved!! I tried going into the phone app/icon and deleted the data and yes, the voicemail symbol disappears for a short time but then came back so I rang my service provider and they did a 'network refresh' and that seems to have resolved the problem so it's worth giving it a go if you're still experiencing the same problem. They also switched my voicemail service off and then back on again so fingers crossed!!!
