Voicemail Issue on EVO V

I've had my phone awhile now.. perhaps even a year or so. When I got the phone I set up voice mail and it's worked fine.

So, today my phone was off.. ran out of battery charge last night and I don't work weekends, so no reason to charge it.

This morning I plug it in so I can turn it on and play a game.

There's a little voicemail icon so I dragged the top of screen down and it says:

"Voicemail Pending - Tap here to call voicemail"

I called voicemail and it's asking me to setup a pin, a greeting, etc! I set this up a long time ago and have been receiving voicemail just fine.

Has anyone ever had their voicemail reset before?

So, I go through all the setup, and there's one voicemail from someone. How can someone leave a voicemail if it's supposedly not even setup?

So, I deleted the one voicemail left for me and exited out.

The icon is still on top of my screen and won't go away!

When I click voicemail button it says "you have new voicemail that cannot be downloaded". When I click that message about tapping here to call voicemail it says I have none.

Any thoughts on what to do?

Your carrier made a change your phone did not delete your carrier mailbox. Set up voicemail again. Carrier signal triggers the icon

Yeah, I had setup voicemail and the icon stayed. I finally figure out going into Task Manager and killing all fixed it.

It's back.. that stupid message keeps popping up.. tap here.. when I have no voicemail.

Think I solved the problem. I noticed a little recycle logo came up.. meaning some sort of update going on. Then I went to post a picture to Instagram that failed.

Found out that sometime during the day my WiFi disappeared in phone. Don't know that happens from time to time. It'll say "connected to null". I then have to forget my stuff, re-enter it, and my password. Then it'll work again.
