Voicemail Notification

I'm seeing voice mail icon even though there's no messages, is there any way to get rid of that? I already restarted the phone and did a battery pull and sim card also.

If you are using a voice mail service that is not the stock "att messages" then there probably is a voicemail waiting in the att messages app. Open the app and choose the voicemail tab at the top to see the voicemail and delete it. Then go into settings while in the att messages app and disable vm notifications.
