Voicemail transcriptions

Voicemail transcriptions doesn't seem to work on the pixel. Anyone else? It works perfectly on my iPhone 7 plus. Is there a setting that I need to enable? I have T-Mobile.

This iPhone had its own voicemail system that's why. I know Verizon offers it but that's extra I believe although basic visual voicemail is free. T-Mobile might be the same. Android is a bit different.

Ah I see, has anyone got this to work on T-Mobile? If so can you please chime in

Nope. I set up my Google voice for voicemails and the transcription works great

When I try to set Google voice voicemail up it gives me an error.

All of my voicemails automatically get transcribed. I'm on Project Fi though. It's actually pretty funny how wrong they are sometimes.

Project Fi. Works great. How are they bad? Have to gotten a bad transcription since google voice days

It sucks that carriers deliberately disallow certain features or charge extra for them. We have Project Fi and voicemail transcription is automatic. Works great on my Pixel XL as well as on my husband's 5X.

We use YouMail and it's a great app for visual voicemail and voice to text (transcriptions). It's free.
