Hi,

I have a TMOBILE S8+. On outgoing calls, it always drops to 4G from LTE. During incoming calls, it maintains an LTE signal.

Any else or ideas?

try going into the service menu. From the dialer pad type *#2263#. youll be transferred to a hidden samsung service menu. select clear all bands then select LTE Band preference. That will automatically camp you on LTE and should relief your 4G problem
 
Thanks for the reply. I am somewhat of a novice user and don't feel I should have to do that as it worked normally by default on my S7 Edge. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
 
Would anyone be kind enough to make a test call and see if their phone also drops to 4g during outgoing calls?

I think you should exchange your phone. I had the same issue and no matter what I tried, the issue did not go away. I replaced my phone and so far so good.
 
Mine works fine. I did find my V10 had this issue but it was location depended. I think it happened when they were doing something to a local tower. After a few weeks the issue resolved itself.
