Anybody who has the LG G3 and is in the areas where T-Mobile has flipped already the On switch for VoLTE could please tell me if the LG G3 has the VoLTE option?

I think it does.

I'm on Wi-Fi at work, and when I get off of a call I have the 4g symbol between the Wi-Fi and the signal strength bar.

I have disabled wi-fi calling.

Edit: I'm in Houston Texas and reports say that we are an active VoLTE area.

It would be under your phone options. Whenever a device can use VoLTE you have the option.

Sent from my T-Mobile Note 3 using AC Forums.

I do not think it does. I just moved from an S5 t the g3. My s5 definitely did VOLTE whereas the G3 drops to 4g during calls. Hopefully T-Mobile, issues a software update on the G3 like it recently did for the s5 to enable it.

I does NOT have VoLTE

This is correct, at least for now. It seems like the Samsung and LG devices are getting it first so I doubt it'll take too long. The current devices that have it (as far as I'm aware anyway) are:

Samsung Note 3
Samsung Galaxy S5
Samsung Light (for the 7 people that own that thing...)
LG Flex

T-Mobile has not flipped the switch for VoLTE as of yet but you can activate it in the call settings. Just goto the dialer and type 3845#*851#. Under "Modem Settings" you will see "VoLTE Radio NV On/Off". Just select it and turn on. It will not affect your device...your incoming and outgoing calls and messaging will stay entacted.

P.S. Just cause you activate it does not mean it will be operational YET.....FYI

So far it doesn't work, in NYC its on VoLTE but I tried turning it on the LG G3 and it doesn't work yet, but seeing the option in the hidden menu is a good sign

According to XDA posters even if there is TMO VoLTE in your area, and it is turned on in the hidden menus, the G3 won't get VoLTE. We'll have to wait but only a matter of time.
