Volume control for ringtone and notifications?

I for one did not misconstrue what the OP asked for, I just didn't have a super simple way to get there. I did it with MacroDroid and for me, that was okay, it works like I want.

but for you, and the OP, did you overlook the simple way to do it mentioned up above a few posts?

* Volume Sync - Android Apps on Google Play

Install that app and then let the side buttons control everything simultaneously.

Can you share with me the macro your using? THANKS!

I've had the same problem with my Samsung Android it's j S3 V something like that anyway a few people I've had this problem I know there's an app you can download that will control your notification with your ringtone volume I just had a system update today actually and it still doing it so I'm hoping someone will have a reply to this problem aside from that this is the first time I've ever had this problem and now I'm hearing of all kinds of people who have the same

Hi - I'm new to this forum and also had the issue with the Samsung Galaxy A5 volume buttons controlling media and not Ringtone.
Here's the answer I found:
Press one of the volume buttons
Top right there is a drop down menu
tap drop down menu and you will find 4 options
Ringtone
Media
Notifications
System

Below that there is a note that says:
Use Volume Keys For Media
Control the media volume by default when press the volume keys

then to the right there is an ON/OFF button

On my phone - if the button is ON it shows as a Blue Line- If the button is ON - It will show the MEDIA Volume
- if the button is OFF it shows as a Grey Line - If the button is OFF -It will show the Ringtone Volume

I hope this helps.
