Volume for notifications not the same for call ringtone when using volume button

so does anybody have any clues on how to fix this or is this how it works?

Hit volume up on the phone and then hit the settings button when the volume indicator shows. It will show the notification volume and you can adjust it that way. That's a quick way of doing it.

Thats a great way but is there any way to change the way when you turn the phone vol both the notifications and phone vol are the same. on my other phones this was the case, but on the n2 you have to hit the gear.

How ironic. The Galaxy Nexus worked exactly the way you want the Note to work. It's the main reason I rooted and replaced the rom, to have independent volume controls.

Also was searching for that, it's really pain in the a** when I reduce my volume, and What'sApp starts beeping in middle of night on full volume haha
