Volume increments

Up until buying this phone, I was kind of an audio snob (still am, just not as much) and used a separate mp3 player with locally stored music and I refused to deal with the bland audio settings of (at the time) the iPhone 4 (don't judge me). I got this phone along with the jet audio music player from the play store and it is a mean combination which i would recommend to anyone who wants a more audio-centric experience in a phone. I get the powerful sound I was looking for out of an android device, and it was enough for me to use it as my main music device altogether. I just have one problem that I seek to fix somehow. Jet Audio has a touch volume knob which allows me to adjust it precisely, however, when I just want to reach into my pocket and use the volume rocker, I can never find the perfect volume. In a matter of a single press, the volume will go from not quite loud enough, to ear damagingly loud. Is there a solution to this problem that I am not aware of?

I'd like to know as well. I don't want to use another music app and much of my stuff is on Amazon cloud. The prob is that even '1' is huge and 1 is a little loud to listen to when I'm listening to music as I fall asleep. I appreciate HTC making things more simple for the sake of fluidity but when you have the best sound system in a phone, why short-change it with such a bad volume scheme.

I finally found a solution. It's not the best when it comes to smoothly integrating itself with the rest of android, but nonetheless it uses a knob to adjust whatever volume you want on android by 1% increments. Pretty amazing. Unfortunately there's still no way to adjust the button press increments, so you just need to screen-on and take a few seconds to pick a volume and go with it. One nifty feature they threw in that makes this process slightly quicker is the ability to touch the proximity sensor to get the fine volume control knob. Check it out.
