Volume keeps changing randomly

So I'll be wearing ear buds in and I'll turn on my music. Eventually my Samsung Galaxy tab E will either pause my music, mute it or put up the volume to the top. It's driving me crazy! And then I'll give up trying the listen to music and stop it. So I go do something else on my tablet. That's when it unpauses and plays the music and randomly skips it sometimes. And keep in Mind that when this happens the app is closed and I have no control over it. Help?

Make sure headphone jack is clean I would try a can of compressed air then reboot the device.
