Volume lower button not working

Samsung s7....they say it water resistant ....i dont think they shld even mention dat ...i just held the phone in my wash basin and the volume lower button stopped working and the service providers are charging for that ...and they say warranty dosent apply on water issues...be carefull with ua s7 dont even try thT its water resistant u ll have to pay later on ...has anyone faced this issue and wat was ua result..let me know

I for one won't be dunking my expensive device in water. Read the caveat from Samsung about the water resistance... Yours may dry in time, but the device will forever be suspect, it could stop at any time if water got to the internals.
