hi guys,

I love my galaxy s3 but i'm having an annoying problem, using the phone, i end up accidently pressing the volume button and this can change the profile from vibration to normal or mute. anyone can help me fix that please ?

apart from getting one of the hard cases so the volume button is harder to press.. i dont think so. unless a custom rom has option to disable it

I have the same problem as well when viewing youtube.... its kinda hard to grip the phone without hitting the power or volume keys....

I was having the exact same problem all of the time. It was annoying as all get-out! For me, it was a combination of a skinny phone with little area to grip on the sides and the opposing location of the power and volume buttons. However, I got it solved for me.

By putting a case on the phone, it made the side of the phone a slight bit thicker with veritcal surfaces, rather than sloped, so I could get a better grip on the phone. Then, it covered the power button and volume toggle with the rubber part of the case. It made the buttons slightly less sensative to the touch so they were less likely to be activated by accident.

It also helped identify their locations by feel, so I instinctively knew how to place my hand to hit the power and not the volume or toggle the volume and not hit the power button. The feel of the case (ie. rubber bumpy portion vs. smooth portion) is what allows me to hit the appropriate button without disturbing the other one. The feel gets me to place my hand/fingers in the right place.

Get whatever case would do the same for you. In my case, I picked up a cheap "Ballistic" named case from Sam's Club for $25. I'm not recommending it nor advising you to avoid it. It just happens to work for me for this purpose. I'll probably be getting another case eventually - one that is more substantial like an Otterbox or Seidio.
