Hello,
Im having problems with the volume when I use a FM transmitter in my car..its REALLY low. I tried everything volume setting wise and nothing works..am I missing something?

Thanks in advanced!

Depends on the transmitter as some have volume controls on them.
Then again it depends also on what rom your running also..
More info will be needed before we can give you a strait answer ~

Have you tried putting the media volume on your device all the way up first and then adjusting the volume on the radio?

@scootincivic
There is no volume on the fm transmitter and the rom is RodimusROM v1.2.3 + xionia

@digitaljeannie
yes all volume settings are max

Sometimes depending on what I'm playing, even when I have the media volume level on my phone maxed out I still need to turn the volume on the radio what seems like way up. Could just be the nature of the transmitter. Who knows.

well the volume is up all the way in my car and i still can barely hear it

Does the FM transmitter work fine with something else? We need to narrow down if the problem is with the FM transmitter or the phone.

yes my sony mp3 player works just fine with the transmitter

And you are plugging the phone into the FM transmitter through the headphone jack right? If you plug headphones into there is the volume normal, or is it low as well?

yes it is going into the headphone jack just like it does in my mp3 player...also when i plug headphones into my phone the volume is just fine.

Are you using a stock ROM, or one of the custom ones? If you are using a 2.3 rom, you can use DSPManager, but I don't know if it works with 2.2 or not.

DSPManager has settings for headset and speaker, and a graphic equalizer that will allow you to boost any portion of the band you want, so you can also clean up the sound.

its really strange..the sound quality is horrible..and its really quiet but the headphones are just fine?

Hey,

It could be the pins. I find that the volume is louder if I use the headset that the phone came with.

I thought about that..but im not using headphones..the original issue is using a fm transmitter through the headphone jack

Hey,

Maybe the fm transmitter pins are not connecting right. I mean the plug in the hole.
