Regardless of whether or not my phone is on vibrate, silent or full sound, my phone will still play a notification sound (all be quietly) while I am in a call. The problem with this is the person I am on the phone with can hear it especially when I am on speaker phone mode. This causes problems as it is distracting, annoying and unprofessional when I am on business calls.

Why does the phone play sounds when I am in a call even when my options are set to silent?

Is there any settings I can choose to not get notifications when I am in a call but get them when I am out of a call? or even get vibrations with no sound while in a call?

Thank you!

Go into system settings > sounds > notifications. Make sure all sounds are lowered. Also, moving the device to silent (volume pressed down, past vibrate) should silence the entire device. You might also want to check that you have the particular notification sound level off as well. For example, if it's a text message, go into the messaging app > menu > settings > notifications > off/none.
