Volume up button works but volume down doesn't (Nexus 6p)

On my Nexus 6P, the volume up button only works the volume down doesn't work at all.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Does that persist in Safe Mode? https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2852139?hl=en. If so, the button is presumably faulty or damaged. Is it still under warranty, or do you have Nexus Protect or some other insurance?

Hi, yes the problem persists in safe mode. I guess i should change the part then?

Yeah, it sounds like a faulty button.
