volume warning

Mine was on , then select off

I always with my Note 9 (and prior Galaxy phones) get the volume warning after my phone has been reset. I went to this option after seeing this thread and it was set to off. Going to switch it to on and max it out and see what happens.

Cool thanks

Hahaha thought you going mess around now but if u want let me know tomorrow

Oh, no! Anything, for you, sir!

After turning of both Tasker profiles, I went out to my car and got the warning popup (Screenshot attached-the OK button is on the lower right corner of the popup, but unseen probably because of selected theme) only the first time, after a reboot, no matter IN or OFF with the switch from the main settings, when connected to car BT. IDK if its only once per reboot or just random, but it acted the same way with the Tasker profiles running, before you showed me that main setting thingy. Sometimes if we it, sometimes not, but only every have to OK the popup. I don't have to mess with the volume buttons. My nav dock app, CAR HOME ULTRA has a setting to turn volume to 100% upon connecting to car BT.
I tried my JBL BT speaker and didn't get the volume warning popup, no matter which way the switch was.
I don't know what to think about these results.

But you still on Oreo wonder if your results are because of that

Thank you for checking this out , appreciate that.

Yes, I'm on Oreo.
I wonder, would that make the main setting choice not work, either way?

You're welcome. It wasn't THAT huge an imposition, but I did have to drag my butt off the sofa and out to the garage. That's like 38 whole steps!

I'm going check mine out as I have my bluetooth buds at work. Think of it as a work out no but thanks for testing it out.
I'm not sure if it would affect it being on oreo as pie changed things around.

I seem to have fixed it, not sure how. I upgraded to the latest software update, went to develope options, toggled absolute volume on and off. Then restarted. The warning is gone. Can't understand why it'd be fine but it is. To confirm, toggle for absolute volume is on, not off.

Ok, I haven't fixed it. Just connected to my headphones, warning came back. Now that it bugging me, it's really bugging me

Forgive the stupid obvious question...

But why does this bother you so bad?

Personally I have a Samsung Note 5, and I too notice that when turn up the volume while my phone is connected to an external speaker, I get the Volume Warning message also. And at least with me, while it is somewhat annoying, it doesn't actually limit me from turning the volume all the way up, so it is just a minor annoyance.

I am honestly asking because since I will be switching to a new Samsung S10+ soon, I was wondering if the Volume Warning messages, on more recent versions of Samsung devices, has gotten to the point where it actually interfes with the usage of an external speaker

Please enlighten me either way

In my case it's annoying because I get it after a reboot when I connect to my car's bluetooth. By the time it pops up I'm already driving and I'm not fond of distractions. But, thanks to this thread I've figured out how to turn it off.

Nope, never mind. It didn't turn off this annoying "feature."

It bothers me because each device i connect to my phone initiates the same warning. In the car i have take my eyes off the road and hit the ok within the warning then reset the volume to where i want it. I have to do the same thing on my wireless headphones. I usually control the volume via the headphones themselves. Before pie this was disabled. It's not a huge deal but just annoying that each time i play audio books or music i have to ok the volume warning.
