Anyone having issues with the volume going down all by itself? I had the same problems with my note 8.
Its a safety feature to prevent hearing issues. Most phones do it. I think there are some apps that can circumvent it.
My phones do that too - automatically lowers volume. But only when I'm listening to music or watching videos. The lower sound occurs when I get a notification of any sort on the phone, i.e. an email, a text message etc. But the volume level is immediately restored after the notification event.
I think that is a common behavior. Never considered it an issue.

great that you figured out your volume limiter issue. Kinda different from the initial issue of the volume going down by itself.
thanks for sharing solution.
Ok so just a little update I'll try.. if you go into settings.. sounds..volume press 3 dots in upper right and custom volume limit you can change this. Sorry if any of you know this(I didn't). The problem was happening with my bluetooth connected and aux cable connected so I could listen to podcast in my truck so hopefully this takes care of problem.
Don't have the 3 dots there on my Note 9 but as an add on if folk don't know, you can download a Samsung App called Sound Assistant. With this you can set a volume for specific APPS - I use it for my Music Player which often started too quiet for me in the car... now it's always the same![]()
