Anyone having issues with the volume going down all by itself? I had the same problems with my note 8.

Its a safety feature to prevent hearing issues. Most phones do it. I think there are some apps that can circumvent it.

Going down by itself a safety feature?? Haven't had that happen to my Note 8 so doesn't sound normal to me. Never happened while in all my hours streaming YouTube or when using headsets and spotify.

The safety feature is when you have wired or BT headset it will limit your volume max at around 3/4 level until you press their annoying pop up window to accept responsibilty for your ears before it will allow you to increase the volume any further. Man that's an annoying feature.

My phones do that too - automatically lowers volume. But only when I'm listening to music or watching videos. The lower sound occurs when I get a notification of any sort on the phone, i.e. an email, a text message etc. But the volume level is immediately restored after the notification event.

I think that is a common behavior. Never considered it an issue.

Yes this happens to me also on most Android phones. I was NOT talking about the volume limiter feature for Bluetooth. Although I think BOTH are safety features.

Ok so just a little update I'll try.. if you go into settings.. sounds..volume press 3 dots in upper right and custom volume limit you can change this. Sorry if any of you know this(I didn't). The problem was happening with my bluetooth connected and aux cable connected so I could listen to podcast in my truck so hopefully this takes care of problem.

great that you figured out your volume limiter issue. Kinda different from the initial issue of the volume going down by itself.

I don't know if this is the solution it's just something I'll try.

Don't have the 3 dots there on my Note 9 but as an add on if folk don't know, you can download a Samsung App called Sound Assistant. With this you can set a volume for specific APPS - I use it for my Music Player which often started too quiet for me in the car... now it's always the same
