I'm also using TweetDeck beta and love it! I just wish it had the global filter like the desktop version has..

Since peep is down I have been using toutier and love it. Don't know if I will buy it but do miss widgets

Another reason why Twicca is great:
The app itself recognizes if a link is a "Twitter" link. So if you put someone's Twitter addy in their contact, you can launch their profile directly from the quick launch menu that appears whenever you touch the contact's avatar-like in SMS, gtalk, e-mail, etc..

It can be in an e-mail, or a text message. if the http:// is from Twitter, you can launch the app with it. Very handy if you're like me and want your apps to work system wide. Only other application I know of that does that is the official app, which does what it does well, but overall is lacking.

Touiteur - is the best of all that i tried. Always open to try out others but i always end up back with this because of the UI and all the features that comes with it.

I have tried Seemic, Twitter for android,hootsuite, twitdroid, out of all of those I Really DO like Touiteur the Best! the only thing it doesnt do is shrink tweets... But, Im not sure that any of the Android apps do. I am a forer Blackberry User & I love Ubertwitter for that!

Twicca already does that. I'm befuzzled over the fact that the creator of this thread didn't bother adding it to the poll. I mean, the app only does EVERYTHING.

p.s. Its Twidroid, or as per their most recent name change, Twidroyd.

I switched back to Touiteur..Tweetdeck has a boring interface with that dull gray, and it doesn't have twitlonger or autocomplete of @usernames..

I'm not a heavy tweeter. I use Seesmic the most. I wont buy a twitter application.

I use TweetDeck now. I only use my twitter account, not my fb account.
They also promise they are working on a slick UI and that the gray one is just the beta/working UI.
I gave Twidroyd & Touiteu shot, but they seemed overly busy and were missing functionality I was looking for (on one of them I could not figure out how to easily @ mention someone).
The official app always gave me connection errors.

Using Tweedeck now but one thing I wish it would do that I have not found in any of the clients is being able to select multiple users to include in tweets like follow Fridays. Unless there is a way to do this that i haven't been able to figure out.

Free version of Tweetdeck does that too.

the free version of tweetdeck does not support multi twitter accounts in a unified timeline. It only allows you to choose one default account but you can post for multi accounts.
