VPN Unlimited Not Working on Huawei Mate 10

I'm currently subscribe to VPN Unlimited but couldn't really get it to work with my new shiny Huawei Mate 10.

Previously the app works fine with my BlackBerry Priv. Although it still got some hiccups...

With Mate 10 though the app just practically unusable! After several minutes of using the app a notification will come up that said 'TUN Interface Error' and the app shutdown.

The VPN Unlimited Support Team said that there is no tun.ko module in the device's firmware to establish OpenVPN connection.

Is that means Huawei Mate 10 cannot use VPN? Or is it just problems with VPN Unlimited? Anybody manage to get other VPN services to work with Huawei Mate 10?

VPN Unlimited team IS pretty good. I've had them help me a few times. Ok I have not used the Mate 10 YET! (some folks know why I said yet! lol) Anyways I HAVE used VPN Unlimited on the Mate 9, and it worked just fine. I take it you have tried restarting the phone, clearing the cache and data for the app, and as last resort uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. But do I need to clear the cached after uninstalling? I've not done that...

Probably because you can bypass their filters if you manage to install it and connect LOL LOL

Must be the VPN Unlimited app that causing the problem... my subscription ends in 4 months, I will probably try something else after that...

Uninstall the VPN and follow these steps (IMHO):

I would start with hard cache cleaning (i.e. going to the reboot mode and cleaning my partition completely).

Then, I would do a thorough cleaning of my entire cache.

After that, I would install the VPN again and see if the problem persists.

If it does, just opt for another VPN (there are some coupons here if you're interested).

Too complicated for me, hahaha. I will probably just try something else after my subscription ends in 4 months...

How? Mine kept getting Tun Error. Especially when the phone changing connection, such us from WiFi to normal line...
