VPN Won't Connect on school Wifi?

I'm running a Galaxy S8, and while VPNs work for my friends with Apple products, my phone refuses to connect. I've tried multiple vpns and none of them connect.

It depends on the VPN that you are using. Apple products like the iphone 7 have built in VPN's while us Samsung user have to download a third party app. I connect to my uni wifi using Opera VPN and it is perfectly fine but can slow down at times
