We have been using email gateway to communicate with students for campus lockdown, etc. Verizon tier 2 tech told be they were progressively cancelling the ability for Verizon cell customers to receive @vtext.com email messages. This appears to be true as a small portion of Verizon students are now getting communications even though Verizon is accepting the messages. Anyone else experiencing this? I can't even emailto text my own phone!

I work for VZ tech support, and this is the first I've heard of this. I'll look into it when I get to work.

I didn't see anything regarding this. I do know that Verizon.net email is being moved from in-house to AOL. If you're having issues, please call tech support to have them look into it. I'll ask around for more details today.

I called support yesterday about @vtext not working for a large number of phones that our system sends to. They called back after looking into the problem and told me that vtext is being discontinued. It is being replaced by something called Enterprise Messaging and I should contact my rep about it. :-/
