So I plug my phone into my computer, and VZW Update Assistant launched notifying me of an update. Sure enough, it's the Lollipop update.

Warning.... if you like having the shutter button on your edge screen dont update!
The Sprint and other versions moved all the buttons on screen in your picture frame... and theres no fix... kinda defeating the purpose of the edge screen

That's my only complaint so far.

That wouldn't bother me too much. How is the upgrade besides the camera button move?

Not bad. I haven't had any problems with it and my battery life seems to be about 10% better.

The only problem I notice so far is that when I first arrive at the lock screen after turning the phone on, it won't respond to the slide of my thumb over the sensor and I must enter my backup password. The sensor works after that.

Has that happened to anyone else?

I had that happen after the first phase of the upgrade. Fingerprint lock seemed to work after that though.

Factory reset is recommended I'd say.. Random reboots and inconsistent battery life before resetting, now battery is good and everything seems great (besides my sms backups not restoring fully)

I disagree with above. I have had zero issues. Factory reset is not needed and certainly not recommended.

How did you get the update? I thought factory reset was highly recommended for any major version jump (such as kk to L)? That's what everyone said for the s5 at least... I'd say it doesn't hurt to factory reset if you can backup all your stuff and don't mind setting everything back up, helped me at least

I have said this already a few times, it's on the VZW Note Edge thread. Just because you had issues, it doesn't mean that all Note Edge users have had issues. Just because one or two people were forced to do factory updates, it doesn't mean that everyone needs to do it. No need to force people into something that is not mandatory.

I know, not forcing anyone into it, I've just seen from other people that factory resetting hasn't hurt anything, and solves some issues (such as on the s5 with multiple issues, though that was a very different situation). Sorry for the misunderstanding :)

So far no real issues other than my battery draining a little faster than normal. The update flows pretty smooth, no random restarts or finger print scanning issues after a full 24 hrs plus with the update.

Is Blocking Mode gone for anyone else? I can't believe they removed that! 😯

DND is pretty much the same thing. Goto sound and notifications

Thanks. Took a look at it. It is the same, except you can't allow individual exceptions anymore, only contacts or favorite contacts.

Having issues since update. Random reboots but once it come back up, all the apps I was using are still active. Extreme lag. When it reboots it always come on in silent mode even if it wasn't before. It never seems to settle in. It's barely usable at this point. I assume I'm looking at having to start fresh and wipe the life from it. Someone said something about having to back up SD card as well? Is that important? What if I remove it? Any help greatly appreciated.
I also read people lost the DND button, I still have, does that state anything to my situation?
