I currently have a Verizon galaxy nexus, I was thinking about switching to the GSM Galaxy Nexus with the $30 prepaid unlimited data, text and 100 minutes from T-Mobile . I just wanted to see what you guys thought, is it worth it?
My current bill with Verizon is 450 minutes 1000 texts and unlimited data for $70 bucks a month. I also have Verizon 4g and T-Mobile 4g where I live. Also I don't use 100 minutes a month, I rarely get near 100, I mostly use my phone for data.
So what do you guys think, is it worth it to switch or should I just stick Verizon?

Thanks for the help, have been having trouble making this decision.

Well I would first go to t mobile. See if they offer some type of "if your not satisfied with our network" you can return the phone with no problems, just to try their network. If it sucks stay with verizon. You have unlimited data with verizon as of now. You know you will never get that back, ever. So that's a big loss to give that up. I just got rid of my home internet and do everything via my cell phone. I run my computers and even my Xbox off my cell data. Verizon will have take my unlimited data from my cold dead has before I give that up.

You bring up a great point guess I'll be stopping by the T-Mobile store tomorrow.

Well, IMHO I'd go with GSM and save money. Sure LTE is fast but T-Mobile gets pretty darn good speed too. I usually get 7mbps+ all the time. I cannot survive with 100 mins but if you can go for it.

Straight talk is another option. You can choose T-Mobile sim card and make sure to leave the proxy blank. Rumor is that you get unlimited talk, text, and data for $45.

You bring up a valid point, the issue with straight talk is I heard they threaten to cut your data off after 2gb that's why I was thinking T-Mobile. And I rarely use more than 100 minutes.

No they don't but I could buy some cheap prepaid phone and test their network in my area.
