VZW kills hotspot toggle, sort of...

gUDP here...irrelevant with new UDP, which is apparently why they killed it.

I used to log into 'MyVZW' and toggle hotspot service(/billing) on and off as needed, without issue. Earlier this summer, it still showed as an option but started returning an error when switched...'can't do that now, call 800'. To my knowledge it has never been possible to toggle in the MyVZW app either. A phone call has been required to turn on/off ever since, but they still can and happily will. Just so convenient. Really? A voice phone call?

Verizon doesn't want people on that plan. It isn't a new thing so I don't see it as shocking they make it more difficult to use it.
