Anyone have details about when MM will be available from VZW? Would like to go ahead and buy something else if they aren't going to update the Note 4.

Unfortunately, none of the carriers really give any sort of indication as to when an update will come out for any Android phone. Probably because communicating and then constantly missing those deadlines was earning them a lot of flak.

You're going to change phones because you haven't received the MM update? New doesn't always mean better. So far people have been plagued with issues and the OS doesn't offer much more than lollipop does so what's the rush? The Note 4 WILL get MM. Just have to be patient.

It's not because of MM specifically but what possibly is an abandonment of support. I do expect to receive security updates and new functionality in a reasonable period of time. I don't have to live on the cutting edge.

Verizon will be updating to Marshmallow on the Galaxy Note 4 but they're dragging their feet. This should correct the overheating issues & laggy TouchWiz like it did on the Sprint models. I wouldn't get rid of the most expandable handset due to Lollipop which sucks

Since they're taking so long, and since this will be the final "major" release for the Note 4, why not just give us the full skin of Touchwiz?

It's not like the Note 4 is going to see any more upgdates.

I hope they throw us a bone. I really love the UI elements of the latest Touchwiz, but I'm not really ready to drop this phone. It still works fantastically

Give it a rest. I know a lot of users want the latest and greatest operating system but before you moan anymore, maybe take a economics/business class or two. If you're a manufacturer, you are not going to spend millions of dollars developing and testing an update for a two year old device especially when a new (Note 5) model is on the market and a newer (Note 6) is on the horizon. I agree with updates to fine tune an existing OS but it's not good economics to keep looking backward to go forward!
I would wager that the vast majority of Note 4 users have never used all the functions on their current device but are complaining about no update.
I know some people's jaws are tight right now but get over it. Savour the beauty that is the Note 4. Save your nickels & dimes and buy a Note 6 this fall.
OK, I'm off my soap box.
By the way, I am on Verizon

I've come to realize this is never going to happen. VZW really is the worse when it comes to updates

That's why my next phone is going to be the new nexus with Google fi I'm tired of verizon bs we didn't even get the security update

We're in the same boat with AT&T. I'm either getting a nexus or an iPhone for my next phone. I'm tired of getting updates that are already out dated.

So if Fatyank were running the world of wireless, then none of us know-nothing dummies would ever get any updates because it would hurt his bottom line. Customer service is not good economics in this guy's world. Arrogance has an economic price as long as customers have choices.

Same here I been hitting that check for update button frequently.

OS updates are cool but not the most important. The security updates is more important though.
