I missed the discounted "Add a Line" offer of $149 that ended Sat. and now they have it at $299.... I not only SNOOZED, but woke up in an alternate reality:-[
Was the Note 2 always $299 before the sale or was it $199 as the title says? Why would they raise the price? I don't get why they would do that.....lol
Can't you still do it at Best Buy then?I believe it was $299 when released and recently dropped to $199 (still is at Best Buy). I was going to add the line, but was waiting to get the dumb phone I bought from EBay, before ordering the Note 2. Guess I should have jumped on it Friday, but I had to change my plan from unlimited minutes to Nationwide 2000 so the dumb phone would be $9.99/mo instead of $49.99 when I activated it to replace the new Note 2. I suppose I over thought the situation.
It is $80 on amazon with upgrade/new service. I got mine 2 weeks ago.

I need to be able to put a dumb phone on the new line after the Note 2 is activated so I can transfer it to my unlimited data line. That rules out dealing with Amazon, not sure about BB.
I'm confused! We were looking at the Note 2 also, eligible for upgrade here in a bit. At $199 for all of last month, we were debating between it and the S4. But now today, we see suddenly the Note 2 price is HIGHER than even the S4 32gb! What gives, Verizon?!?!

Hey you guys aren't alone. T-Mobile raised the price for the note 2 as well.

Big screen.
That, and big greed.

Heh, no kidding. I just have no concept of how, from a business standpoint, it makes sense to RAISE the price of a device!
Especially when the device is nearing replacement with the Note 3.

Maybe they want to drive more sales towards the S4?
