VZW store has low inventory

Dang it. Even online they have low stock. Said orders placed today wouldn't ship until May 4th.

so i just called my local verizon store and talked to an employee that said they only have 24 incredibles in at the moment and they are first come first serve. how nerve wracking! verizon hasnt done much advertising so that eases me slightly, but what if they run out?! ill probably be in the store between 12:30pm:1:00pm. anyone think that they will be out by then?

Yeah, they will probably be sold out by then.

Stopped by my local corp stored last night to see if they'd sell me one early. They tried, but the system wouldn't let them ring it up. So they set one aside for me. They said they had 70 in stock. They said they didn't anticipate selling out, unless other stores with lower quantities started taking them.

I heard one too. They basically just changed the Droid commercial they normally play something about chewing gum and walking at the same time and threw in Droid Incredible instead. lol

I just spoke to 4 different Verizon Corp stores in NYC, and they ALL mentioned that they weren't sure if the Incredible was going to be available in store on launch day, aside from those who pre-ordered. Apparently, they only got 10 pre-orders in, and do not have any more for sale. They weren't sure when new shipments were going to come in.

Does ANYONE have any other information on this? Is this true or just BS???

Luckily for me, my brother in law works at a corp. store so he's setting one aside for me just in case it gets crazy there in the AM.

Coming from an iPhone, I can't wait to have my first Droid device.

I went to the VZW kiosk at my local mall and the sales person there let me play with their training model and then agreed to hold one for me till i can make it in at 7 pm

but if they happen to have 100 people in line then there is 2 more stores in the area. But i doubt that would happen....sort of a small town.

Just look at ebay. Not everyone has an extra few hundred bucks to shell out on a new phone every year.

Heard 2 Incredible commercials within driving 1 hour this morning. Seems like Verizon is advertising it hard. My guess it will be sold out within a hour or two of opening..

guy at work just went and exchanged his wife's moto droid for the incredible. no issues reported.

kind of wish i had waited and picked mine up at the store to. i would have it already.

Had to call a few times to order mine. BB kept freezing while calling. go figure!
I couldn't pre order because of a discount they gave me so mine will be here monday......
What will I miss about BB? BBM and that is it! oh and the sleeper magnet.

When I called they said let me guess, the HTC? I said yep.....

Lol you gotta commend the guy for sticking with his storm 1 for two years...I lasted 45 days.

I too had my Storm 1 since launch day. But the Incredible makes up for everything.

Wow, ordered mine last night at midnight, no mention about the backorder, checked ny online order status and says to expect my order in 2-3 days, hope that means it will be here tomorrow since I paid for overnight shipping..only time will tell!

So get this. I go into the store, tell the guy i wanted to pick up the Incredible. He gets the phone, along with like 6 accessories for me to choose from, and says, "it also comes with a 2gb memory card." I was like cool. after a few minutes of him doing stuff to my account and activating the phone, he says, "what did you think about the accessories?" I told him i was just gonna hold off for today, and he takes all of the accessories back, INCLUDING the memory card. So a few minutes later, i'm like, "so it comes with a 2gb card?" and he says, "No, but it comes with 8gb internal memory, and that i was getting $50 off of the phone."

Point is, EVERYONE, at least at my store, is getting $50 off the phone, and he was using that as the excuse why i wasn't getting the 2gb memory card after he told me it was free??

What gives?

I heard originally it was coming with a 2gb card and then Big Red said nah.....
