VZW Tempered glass screen protector?

Ah yes the home button is indented. To me it is an advantage as it makes it harder to accidentally press the button but, some can see it as a disadvantage. You can get a home button sticker to raise the height if don't like indented

Should have had them put on the gel button cover that comes with the glass protector! 😨

I wonder why vzw didn't put it on? Anyway, I found it in the box. Lucky I took it. She asked if I wanted to throw it away. Just sayin... It's an issue I would have mentioned if someone asked.

That's funny, I never noticed the indentation until now when you guys mentioned it. That's cuz the sales girl immediately put the screen protector on the moment I bought my new Note 3. I actually like the indentation, less accidental pressing of the home button, I suppose. Plus it offers more protection against accidental drops. I haven't had any problem with the home button lower.

Just had it installed at vzw. I was a little nervous because it took a long time and my phone is rooted and safestrapped with a custom rom. She did turn on the phone but didn't say anything about the unusual start sequence. BTW, the system is down nationwide at the moment so they cannot sell anyone a phone. Turned away a dozen customers while I was there.

To soon to make any judgments but it actually feels more slippery than the bare screen not that that matters.

If anyone asked me about disadvantages I would mention the the home button is indented now due to thickness of glass.

I'm with you; I like the button recessed because when I wipe the screen I no longer inadvertently press the home button and turn the screen on.
Tried the home button sticker but took off within a day.

The button is cheesy. It should resemble original

My bionic had gorilla glass and that didn't help when it fell face first on the pavement. Not saying there's anything short of a complete coverage case that would protect it, but some of these screen protectors can provide some measure of additional protection against certain falls. Also gorilla glass doesn't provide any protection against finger prints. Again some third party protectors if they don't keep them off completely they do reduce them dramatically. My first bionic had Ghost Armor and it was fantastic. I've just been too lazy to get it on here. I think Don's suggestion was a good one based on the product website, fwiw.

This is Gorilla Glass 3....much better than original Gorilla Glass. Nothing stops fingerprints....a matte finish doesn't show them as much as a smooth finish.

I've had my Note 3 for 6 months, I use the S-View cover but nothing else and there is not 1 scratch on the glass.

I've had a Motorola Xoom for 3 years now, likewise...no screen protector and zero scratches on its screen.

Ya, I kind of regret the glass screen protector. My fingers slip on it and it is more reflective outdoors

Yes, gorilla glass scratches. I've done it on a 2 week old Moto RazrMaxx. :(

I just grabbed a 6 dollar tempered glass off ebay to try one before I spent 30-40, and I'm seriously pleased with it. May order a couple more in case. Not sure I will go for a 30+ dollars one unless someone can really sell me why. I'm happy for now, it's on perfectly and is about a month old, no scratches still perfectly attached. We'll see. I hear the good ones sometimes come loose after a few months. I'm sure this will, but at 6 bucks, no problem. Unfortunately, yes someone will have to put it on for you tho. Not hard.

I have one and I've put one on my daughter's and wife's phone. At first I sucked at putting on the screen protectors but after watching a YouTube video it's easy just using a piece of tape and making sure screen and fingers were clean.I live out in the middle of nowhere here in Arizona and all we have for Verizon dealers are 3rd party stores,so I kinda had to learn to put it on myself or wait for the 2 hour drive to a real store.

We got the Verizon ones installed on our phones day 1. My fiancé's N3 developed a bubble a few days later, which was deemed a bad install and replaced at no charge. A few weeks have gone by now and while sitting one night, a huge bubble developed on the bottom edge, like the glue let loose. I have the M8 and mine developed a small bubble in the top left corner, but not enough to bother replacing (yet?). All 3 were installed by the VZW reps, so I don't know if this is an issue with the protectors, or just shoddy installs. It looked like the reps were pretty meticulous with the prep and insuring the screens were cleaned, so I'm leaning towards bad glue or another product defect inherent in their design. The protectors looked perfect right after the installs and the bubbles didn't show up until days/weeks later.

While we absolutely love glass protectors over film, I will say I won't be getting any more VZW branded protectors.

Totally with you here. I really think many people don't understand what GG is. I have never had a scratch on any screen and I have never liked screen protectors. That's 11 years and at least 11 phones and 4 tabs.

Little update on our N3. The entire bottom edge started coming loose to the point it snagged on my fiance's pocket when she was putting it in and it pulled the protector completely off. So yeah, Verizon brand protectors get a fail in my book.
