VZW Warranty Experience?

Short story: four new Fascinates on 9/12. Four happy users but only three happy phones. One just began experiencing touchscreen and softkey flakiness/non-responsiveness. Phone is not rooted. Have tried all the usual troubleshooting. Factory reset did not clear the problem up.

What is likely to happen with VZW on a warranty claim? Any suggestions for the best approach? The goal would be to get the phone replaced.
 
Seems like software issue as long as no physical damage they have to replace it

Two roads you can travel here.

If you call *611 they will ask you to do some troubleshooting. When that doesnt work they will sent you a warrenty replacement. When you get it you put your FUBAR phone into the box and mail it back.

If you go into the store they will fiddle with it just to make sure. Then the same thing will happen as above.

Take note that you will recieve a Warranty Refurb. Not a brand new phone.
 
i have never had problems or real hassles with verizon's warranty claims (not the insurance claims, as i don't have it, but the standard verizon 1yr warranty)

i just call 611 tell them what's wrong, tell them i've tried the normal stuff (data wipe, reboot, battery pull, etc) and they send me out a replacement.

since you just recently bought your phone though, you might have an easier time going to your sales rep and complaining to them, as if you aren't' happy and cancel, it effects them directly.
