It's not a bad thing... LolDid that just happen? We got it on November 1st and pixel phone didn't, is that correct?
I'm convinced LG, Moto, aren't planning to make any kind of strides with anything they do. LG just fails miserably at marketing and segmented product diversity. Moto went South once Lenovo took over and I don't think it's coming back. They seem to following the path of HTC which is dying a slow death. Now if only LG and Moto could get their acts together ...

Time will tellInteresting that you say that -- I would've agreed not too long ago, but both LG and Moto seem to be having a bit of a resurgence lately. LG reported that they lost less money this past quarter, and the LG G8X is surprising a bunch of reviewers with its form factor and functionality. Moto has always been a dominant force in the midrange market with their G line, and the foldable Razr reboot could end up being a hit.
That being said, they still need to improve their update track record, at least for their flagships. (Moto's an interesting case when it comes to updates -- even though the G line is their midrange line, you could almost argue that it's their flagship line considering how popular it is with consumers and critics alike, compared to the Z line. Their Android One line is a very good start, though!)

Leveling this gap with pixel phones is critical to Samsung. Many pixel users main reason for buying a pixel is for the faster security and Major OS upgrades. The smaller that gap is, the more appealing Samsung phones become. So yes, it's a big deal for Samsung's market share.Who cares!!!
hahaha. too much work? These developers are old and slow lol.So real question is we know Samsung can be on time as the pixels , why haven't they in the past ?
Can we donate to them ? lol motivation!hahaha. too much work? These developers are old and slow lol.

I'm well aware of how many firmware for US and international for their phones , but they have different teams for those regions . You would think the US would be updated before international with only 4 carrier to worry about vs International version, but for what ever reason I'm glad its moving along . Look at the s7 it's over 3 years old and last week it got a security update .Just go to Sam mobile and see how many different firmwares in each country Samsung has to push updates out for. It's not the same for the Pixel line.
But what is confusing is why us in UK and Europe get the updates faster on unlocked Models compared to the carriers but in the US its vice versa lol.
Anyways Samsung is definitely improving their track record now if only they could see what Oneplus is doing and go with 3 years of Software updates alongside the security patches. If the Oneplus 3 has had A Slice of Pie when it was released a similar time to Galaxy s7 series and now the Oneplus 5 is getting Android 10 which is the contemporary of the Galaxy s8 series. Then why not.
I for one will be hoping for this and it will give more reason to hang on longer to my Note 10 plus.
