wake notification

Hi,

I have a new 6P. Love it.

I have it on my desk all day, however I would like the screen to "wake" every time I get any kind of notification....is there a way to enable this? I tried looking into settings but no luck...

You should find it under Settings - > Display - > Ambient display.
I have a custom rom, but it should be included in stock also.

I have it on but it does not seem it work well.....it just flashes for a second...I want it brighter and longer lasting.....

I use SMS Awake to wake my phone (alternative to ambient display). It also allows you to select the amount of time you want your phone to wake up. Very simple yet useful app. You can get it in the Google Play Store.

I don't use WhatsApp so I didn't know. I believe it only works for SMS though - hence the name.

You could try Light Flow https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...geconsulting.android.lightflow&token=XyImgkKx - it's not exactly what you're looking for, as it flashes the LED different colors depending on what app has received a notification, but it has a bug where it wakes the screen three or four times after every notification is received.

You'd need a custom ROM to adjust the Ambient Display settings like that. Google doesn't let you adjust it.
