Alright all, i'm going to start uploading some of my favorite wall papers, i would love to see what others are using as well.

These are just random wallpapers i have found, or that have been shipped with others roms, i take no credit for them.

Also, if any one can give me the true dimensions of the EVO 3D wallpaper, i would love to pre-crop some nice backgrounds and post them, and use them on my phone.

Please share yours too!!!

One thing I noticed with wallpapers, it that they are not as wide as they use to be. With the rotating carousel screen, the wall paper does not move left to right as it use to, it stays stationary. Now when you select one of these older wallpapers you have to select a portion of the image as you can no longer select the entire image as you use to be able to do.

Yep, I already noticed that after they introduced the Evo 3d at CTIA, and again when the Sensation came out. I brought it up, but noone listened to me!! :(

Do you remember how many people would complain about the way Android used to work with wallpapers?

People would complain and say "I wish the wallpapers wouldnt move, blah blah blah"

I think I like this new way better. I can resize and make my wallpapers one size and not have to worry about cutting the right portion out.

yes i'm aware of that, but instead of me pre-cropping, which i'm not even sure the what the correct dimensions are. I figure this way you can crop whichever part you like best =)

Not trying to hijack the thread, but can someone point me to a link describing the amount of memory used in general for live wallpaper?

That's very arbitrary and hard to track... you mean how much disk space they take up on the internal memory or sd card? or how much of the cpu they use at any given time?

Either way it would very depending on the live wallpaper. Download an cpu usage app, and apply your choice of live wallpaper, and you can track what the cpu allocates to it.

Over all, the consensus is that live wall papers to take up more cpu usage than a standard picture, so *generally* speaking, the phone runs slower and batter drains faster.
